Is Patriots OL Morgan Moses playing today?

New England Patriots right tackle Morgan Moses is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Chicago Bears.

The veteran offensive lineman has been a limited participant in practice this week, giving him a shot at playing in Week 7. He has been dealing with a foot and ankle injury that flared up again in last week's win over the New York Jets.

After he left the game, he was immediately replaced by rookie first-round draft pick Caleb Lomu, a swing tackle who played at left tackle when Will Campbell went down the previous week against the Las Vegas Raiders. Lomu has steadily improved as an NFL tackle, and he has predominantly worked on the right side as Moses' backup.

So if the veteran is unable to go on Thursday, Lomu is more than ready to step up in his place.

With that said, the entire right side of the line could be completely different this week with Matt Pryor filling in for the injured Ben Brown at right guard. On the left side, Walter Rouse will be making his first official NFL start at guard next to left tackle Will Campbell, who has been playing through a knee injury.

Moses' availability would be a huge lift to an offensive line unit that is running out of bodies to keep up with the weekly injuries.
