Xabi Alonso is due to take his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea's Premier League clash with Tottenham on Saturday evening

Xabi Alonso speaks during a press conference

Last weekend, Pep Chavarria pulled out of Chelsea's squad to take on Everton at the last minute due to a small injury.

We are set to hear an update from Xabi Alonso shortly on the Spanish left-back and whether he's fit enough to take part against Tottenham tomorrow night.

Either way, Alonso will be relaxed about the situation, as Bobby Vincent writes here.
