Tony Bellew has made his prediction for a fight between boxing legend Manny Pacquiao and former world champion Joe Cordina on the undercard of Tyson Fury versus Anthony Joshua.
Cordina is a former two-time super-featherweight ruler who is now 34 years old and last held the IBF title in 2023 when he defended it for the second time against Edward Vasquez.
He lost his next fight in May 2024 against Anthony Cacace and has fought just twice since in July and December of 2025 when he secured two unanimous decision wins.
Cordina says he has now agreed a deal on his end to fight Pacquiao on the Fury vs. Joshua card at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, with the Filipino icon still said to be deciding whether to compete.
Pacquiao is now a veteran of 73 fights, and he returned to the ring in July 2025 after a long layoff and fought to a draw in a WBC welterweight title fight with Mario Barrios.
Speaking to Fight Your Corner, former WBC cruiserweight champion Bellew backed Cordina to get the job done if the fight goes ahead.
“I think Joe Cordina would knock Manny Pacquiao out. This version of Manny. Joe Cordina is a good fighter.”
Cordina isn’t the only fighter who says they are in talks for a fight with Pacquiao, with Irish welterweight Paddy Donovan also recently stating that his team have reached out to discuss the possible match-up, with Donovan most recently competing in September when he defeated Tyrone McKenna by fourth round stoppage.
