The Golden State Warriors have signed, drafted, and traded for players from nearly every U.S. state and many countries around the world. From Alaska to Wyoming and Austria to Zaire, the Warriors have a strong history of seeking out talent necessary for NBA success.

Since their beginnings in the Basketball Association of America (a precursor to the NBA) when they got their start as the team representing Philadelphia before they made their move to the West Coast, the organization has consistently pursued talent from a broad range of sources.

For this installment of our series taking stock of the birthplace of every Golden State player to suit up for the franchise, let's take a look at every player from Alabama who has played for the Warriors.

Our focus in this article is Jason Caffey. An alum of Davidson (Mobile, Alabama) high school, he was picked up with the 20th overall selection of the 1995 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls.

The Mobile, Alabama native played the first 3 seasons of his pro career with Chicago before he was dealt to the Dubs in 1998. His stay with the team lasted until he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2000.

During his time suiting up for the Warriors, Jason Caffey put up 10.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.
