Nottingham Forest head coach Oliver Glasner is feeling the heat from some supporters after a drab City Ground start.

The Reds have lost four of the seven matches played so far, with the win at Aston Villa and draws against Liverpool and Tottenham the only points the Reds have claimed this season.

Forest were very good in the defeat against reigning champions Arsenal at the weekend, but points are what is needed right now and not performance levels.

With a tough test waiting at Portman Road on Friday night, Glasner’s future has come under scrutiny – although the club aren’t panicking behind the scenes.

Is Murillo right? Have you seen enough from the performances under Glasner that Forest can get things right this season?

How Nottingham Forest feel about Oliver Glasner

In the aftermath of a third straight defeat, The Athletic has reported an update on the future of Glasner – although it doesn’t feel as though a conversation is even necessary.

It’s claimed that internally, Glasner has the patience of the hierarchy, with Evangelos Marinakis and George Syrianos both on board with giving the Austrian more time to get things right.

Forest are likely still feeling the effects of having four different managers across last season. That is a lot of upheaval and probably doesn’t help things that Glasner has come to Forest with a very complex way of playing football.

Forest are right to have patience, given Glasner is the man which Marinakis has wanted to appoint for a long time, and his track record suggests he will get things right in the end.

The Reds fans must get on board with how the club’s hierarchy feels. The atmosphere impressed Glasner against Arsenal, and that’s what the fans have to bring in each game as the Reds look to arrest their slide down the Premier League table.
