Tottenham are targeting Benfica striker Vangelis Pavlidis, with the Portuguese club reportedly demanding a €100m release clause for the Greece international.
According to Fichajes, Pavlidis has become Tottenham’s main transfer target. The London club could try to complete a deal in January or wait until the summer transfer window.
Benfica are not currently keen to negotiate over the forward’s departure. They are understood to be insisting that Pavlidis can only leave if Tottenham meet his €100m release clause.
The 27-year-old has attracted significant interest from elsewhere, with Aston Villa, Juventus, Milan, Atletico and Barcelona also monitoring his situation.
Pavlidis has made 16 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists.
