The race for Richarlison’s signature is heating as the January transfer window fast approaches, and Tottenham are keen to sell.

Roberto De Zerbi had come under criticism for leaving Richarlison out of Tottenham’s Premier League squad earlier in the season after the Lilywhites’ poor start to the campaign.

However, all that criticism has dissipated now that results have started turning around and Spurs have started climbing the table, with the Brazilian quickly becoming a forgotten man at N17.

Richarlison looks guaranteed to leave Tottenham in the January window as he enters the final six months on his contract, and some clubs have already begun doing groundwork on a potential deal.

Trabzonspor set to try again for Tottenham’s Richarlison following summer agreement

It was reported during the summer window that the Spurs striker had agreed to join Trabzonspor, but the Turkish side were not able to strike a deal with Tottenham before the window shut.

According to Taka Gazetesi (as relayed by Sport Witness), Trabzonspor could now make a renewed attempt to sign Richarlison after their failed summer move.

The Super Lig club are trying to understand if the conditions of the deal are suitable, but they would first have to make room for the 29-year-old in their squad by getting rid of an overseas player.

Trabzonspor are at the maximum limit of foreign players allowed in their squad, and are contemplating moving on either Ukrainian Ruslan Malinovskyi or Nigerian Paul Onuachu to bring in the Spurs man.

Spurs have slashed Richarlison’s asking price

It appears that Tottenham will not try to make things difficult for the striker to leave, with the Lilywhites having already decided against activating the one-year extension in Richarlison’s contract.

That means that the January window is the final one in which De Zerbi’s men can get a fee for him, and Spurs are reportedly ready to accept just £8.4m for the striker.

Vasco Da Gama have also been backed to reignite their interest in Richarlison, but the Tottenham man is thought to be keen on continuing in Europe.
