The Canadian full-back is listed as a dream option for the Catalans who are looking to defend their La Liga crown.

FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick harbours dreams of a renewed collaboration with Bayern Munich speedster Alphonso Davies.

At least, that's what 'El Nacional' suggests, with the Catalan online newspaper listing Davies as Flick's preferred solution for left-back.

However, things to get moving in that department regarding a transfer, FC Barcelona would first have to sell Alejandro Balde. 

The 23-year-old homegrown talent has lost his starting position and is a likely departure candidate for the winter transfer window. 

Whether Davies, who has a lucrative contract until 2030, would actually be available then, or even next summer, remains to be seen.

After all, Flick was the one who helped the Canadian break through at Bayern during their treble-winning 2019-20 season.

With his incredible top speed, Davies would also be a perfect fit for the high defensive line that Flick currently employs in Barcelona.
