Nottingham Forest take on Manchester City at the City Ground on Saturday, now the referee and match officials for the clash have been confirmed.
Game-week nine of the Premier League saw Nottingham Forest lose to Brentford 2-0 in what was another decent performance from Oliver Glasner’s side, at least on paper. But it meant one win in nine, and Glasner finally snapped, issuing an ultimatum to the players and making it clear it was his way, or they would be gone.
Things don’t get any easier for Glasner this weekend, with Manchester City arriving at the City Ground on a two-game losing run. But the referee now appointed to take charge of the game will please Glasner.

How long do you think Glasner has? Should Marinakis give him until January to implement his ideas? 👀
The Premier League official website has announced the match officials for the upcoming weekend’s fixtures, and Nottingham Forest will be quietly pleased.
The reason that Glasner and Forest will be pleased is that the recent memory of Sam Barrott is resoundingly positive. Back in August, Barrott awarded a penalty against Liverpool, which was later proven wrong by the KMI panel.
Back in August, when Forest’s season looked to be off to a hot start, Barrott awarded a contentious penalty during the clash against Liverpool after Alisson challenged Neco Williams.
Mark Clattenburg said it was a penalty, but the Premier League’s Key Match Incident panel disagreed, stating Barrott was wrong to award this penalty.
Glasner won’t have minded then, and he won’t now. He will also be hoping for a rub of luck from Barrott this weekend against City; it would be long overdue and deserved.
But Forest also needs to create their own luck and take the chances that have been going astray all season long.
