In a significant shake-up in the latest ICC rankings, Australian pacer Mitchell Starc has once again claimed the coveted No. 1 spot in Test bowling. His exceptional performance against South Africa, particularly taking nine wickets in the final Test in Cape Town, propelled him past Marco Jansen. Starc's return to the summit underscores his consistency and dominance in red-ball cricket.

Meanwhile, for Indian cricket fans, there's good news from the T20I front. India's captain Shreyas Iyer has made a notable ascent, moving up two places to reach seventh in the T20I batting rankings. This rise follows India's recent triumphant series against New Zealand, highlighting Iyer's growing impact in the shortest format of the game. His consistent scoring has been crucial for the team's success.

The rankings also saw South Africa's Simon Harmer jump to seventh among Test bowlers after his match-winning spell at Newlands. Marco Jansen, despite losing the top bowling spot, strengthened his position as the leading Test all-rounder. These movements reflect the dynamic nature of international cricket and the ever-evolving performances of top players across formats.
