ERLING HAALAND had a heartwarming reunion with former team-mate Andrea Norheim after spearheading Manchester City to victory over RB Leipzig.
The striker, 26, bagged the winner as Enzo Maresca‘s side left Germany with a 3-2 triumph in the Champions League.
And Haaland, who notched his 14th goal of the season after City had been pegged back twice by Leipzig, had an emotional get-together after the final whistle.
The Etihad favourite bumped into childhood friend Norheim as he made his way through the Red Bull Arena tunnel.
Haaland, who grew up with the Leipzig Women star as team-mates in the Bryne FK youth ranks, gave a hug and had a brief chat on his way back to the City dressing room.
And Norheim was excited to see her long-term pal during his brief visit to Germany.
The one-time Women’s Champions League winner told German publisher Bild: “It’s been a while since we last saw each other, maybe eight years.
“But when I spoke to him, he recognised me immediately. It was fun talking to him.
“For me, he was still exactly the same as when we were younger. It’s really cool that we’re both here now. It was nice to see him play again.”
Norheim, 27, was the only female in the Bryne side and has been credited with playing a huge role in Haaland becoming a leading marksman.

Bild previously claimed the defender taught the two-time Premier League title winner to play football when she was a girl.
But Norheim has played down her role after seeing Haaland go on to become a City legend.
She added: “I certainly don’t want to brag that I was the one who taught him how to play football. We trained together for many years, but that’s it.
“He was very small, but he has always been a good player and a goal-scoring striker.
“He was a year younger than the rest of us but was moved up. He showed why he was good enough for that.”
Haaland will be looking to continue his impressive start to the season when City travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
