Germany's national football team coach, Jurgen Klopp, has recalled experienced striker Niclas Fullkrug and handed a surprising first senior call-up to teenage prodigy Wael Mohya. This 24-man squad is set to tackle crucial UEFA Nations League fixtures against Serbia and the Netherlands.

Klopp, 59, significantly trimmed his previous large squad, aiming to boost Germany's standing in Group A2. Fullkrug, 33, returns to the national fold after a hiatus since September 2025, thanks to his impressive nine goals in eight Bundesliga appearances for Werder Bremen, currently leading the league's scoring charts.

Borussia Monchengladbach's attacking midfielder Mohya, who turns 18 in December, has earned his spot after showcasing his talent with 23 Bundesliga appearances and four goals. Klopp expressed enthusiasm for the increased competition within the squad, stating, "I'm really looking forward to the next two games. We have a colourful mix of very young and quite experienced players in the squad."

Despite the inclusion of new faces, Germany faces an uphill battle in League A Group 2 of the UEFA Nations League, currently sitting third with five points from four matches. They trail leaders Netherlands and second-placed Greece, both on eight points. With only the top two teams advancing to the quarterfinals, Germany needs strong performances in their upcoming matches against Serbia in Belgrade on November 13 and the Netherlands in Berlin on November 16. Even two victories might not guarantee a quarterfinal spot, as their fate also hinges on other group results.
