Karl-Anthony Towns is one proud husband.
The New York Knicks star, 30, raved about his wife, Jordyn Woods, and her “lucky” orange bag that she wore to the 2026 NBA Finals, crediting the accessory for his team’s championship title and revealing what’s next for the iconic item.
In a new interview with W Magazine, Towns revealed that the orange bag — which hails from his wife’s Woods by Jordyn fashion brand — is already being eyed by other museums following its appearance at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City in June.
“It went from the Guggenheim to Fanatics Fest, and other museums are asking if they can showcase it too. It’s a part of culture, especially sports culture and New York culture, forever,” Towns, 30, told the outlet of the bag carried by Woods, 29, in the feature published on Monday, Oct. 26.
“It’s the luckiest bag in all of New York City,” he continued of the prized piece. “It got the job done. Jordyn spent a lot of time on the bag. When you put so much love into something like that, you build some great karma.”
Woods went viral for accessorizing her game-day outfits with her orange bag during the 2026 NBA Championships, where she earned lucky status after the Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs in every game that she brought it to and lost the one game she didn’t bring it.
While the fashion influencer intended on wearing it to Game 3, it was the one matchup that she wasn’t allowed, due to President Donald Trump’s attendance on June 8. The United States Secret Service announced a no-bag policy and encouraged fans in attendance to “limit personal items to an absolute minimum.”
Prior to the Game 3 matchup at Madison Square Garden, Woods previously opened up about her superstitious fashion in an interview with Vogue following Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, during which the Knicks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 109-93.
“Once playoffs start, everything becomes part of the ritual if we keep winning,” Woods told the magazine at the time. “We’re nine wins in, and now I have my lucky Woods by Jordyn bag, my game-day GRWMs on TikTok, and a watch I refuse to take off. At this point, I’m not risking changing anything.”
“I created a sample of the Tux Clutch Mini specifically for the playoffs,” Woods added of her lucky bag. “I wore it for Game 1 during one of my TikTok GRWMs, and ever since then we’ve kept winning, so now it’s officially become the lucky bag.”
Now that a new season is underway with the Knicks defending the title, Woods introduced a different bag at the team’s opener against the Philadelphia 76ers on Oct. 20. She debuted a gold version of her brand Woods by Jordyn’s Limited Edition Tux Clutch Mini in Trophy Gold.
“I do have a new bag,” Woods told PEOPLE ahead of the season opener, which doubled as the championship ring and banner-raising ceremony at Madison Square Garden for the Knicks. “It’s the same bag, but it’s new. On Tuesday, you guys will see the new bag. It is the lucky bag, but it’s in gold to go with the trophy.”
Woods and Towns, who met in 2020, tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony overlooking the ocean in Malibu, Calif., on Aug. 15, per photos shared by Page Six.
They exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends, including some of Towns’ NBA teammates, Kylie Jenner and boyfriend Timothée Chalamet, Hailey and Justin Bieber, Teyana Taylor, Michael B. Jordan, Jada Pinkett Smith, Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor, per the outlet.
