RB Leipzig will hope to return to winning ways on Saturday as they entertain SV Elversberg, who climbed to sixth place after ending their own losing streak the previous week.

RB Leipzig

Martin Demichelis’ men conceded ten goals to FC Bayern and Real Madrid in a space of four days after winning their first two games back from the extended international break. The former center-back saw his team conceded more goals against his beloved Bayern than the combined total in the first five matchdays.

In contrast, the Bulls have won each of their first four games at RedBull Arena by 15 unanswered goals. 11 of those came in the latest Bundesliga wins over HSV and Eintracht Frankfurt, with the returnee Christopher Nkunku finding the net four times.

Team News

There are no new injury concerns at Leipzig, but Demichelis could change a few things on his lineup to deal with the fixture congestion. Assan Ouedraogo (shoulder) and Marc Guiu (hamstring) remain on the sidelines, but Christoph Baumgartner is set to play his first Bundesliga game of the season after making his return at Santiago Bernabéu.

SV Elversberg

Goals have also been the story of Elversberg’s debut Bundesliga campaign. After they only scored once in their previous three games – Maurice Krattenmacher against his former club FC Bayern – Vincent Wagner's side recorded their second 4-3 victory against FC Augsburg.

Die Elv were among the pre-season favorites for relegation, but they're now sitting above their Saturday's hosts as they collected only four fewer points than the Rekordmeister. Before the international break, they will face Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund away from home.

Team News

The visitors could be without youngsters Cole Campbell, Noah Darvich and Francis Onyeka in their midfield. Tom Zimmerschied is also absent as the 29-year-old suffered another setback after making his Bundesliga debut in the defeat to Union Berlin.

Head-to-head

The only time the two teams faced each other was during the 3. Liga campaign in 2013/14 season. Elversberg won the maiden encounter 1-0 before Joshua Kimmich and Yussuf Poulsen started the 2-0 win for Leipzig in the reverse fixture.
