Real Madrid celebrations vs Barcelona turn sour as Eduardo Camavinga hit with FLAG poles by fans during El Clasico

REAL MADRID star Eduardo Camavinga was targeted by Barcelona fans swinging flag poles towards his head during wild El Clasico celebrations.

The French midfielder found himself at the centre of ugly scenes after setting up Kylian Mbappe‘s dramatic late winner in Real’s 2-1 victory at the Nou Camp.

Teammate Aurelien Tchouameni quickly intervened to enure there wasn’t any damage

Camavinga was mobbed by his team-mates near the Barcelona supporters after Mbappe struck in the 87th minute to send the travelling Madrid contingent into dreamland.

But the celebrations threatened to turn nasty as furious home fans swung their flag poles towards the players.

Footage circulating on social media showed several poles being waved dangerously close to Camavinga’s head as he celebrated with his team-mates.

Fellow Frenchman Aurelien Tchouameni quickly intervened, shielding Camavinga with his arm before ushering his team-mates away from the supporters.

The flashpoint came moments after Camavinga had produced a brilliant piece of play to help Jose Mourinho‘s side snatch all three points.

The midfielder had only entered the contest in the 80th minute, replacing Bernardo Silva with the scores level at 1-1.

But he needed just seven minutes to make a decisive impact in one of football‘s biggest fixtures.

Jude Bellingham sparked the move with a sensational piece of skill before combining with Arda Guler, who released Camavinga into space.

The 23-year-old surged past Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi before squaring the ball for Mbappe to tap into an empty net.

The dramatic winner sparked extraordinary scenes on the touchline as Mourinho celebrated with a knee slide while his coaching staff poured onto the pitch.

It was the perfect ending to a pulsating encounter that had seen the two Spanish giants trade blows throughout the evening.

Mbappe had opened the scoring in the 41st minute when Yan Diomande’s dangerous cross was diverted against the French striker by Gerard Martin and into the net.

Barcelona came roaring back after the break and deservedly equalised through Raphinha in the 61st minute.

The Brazilian latched onto a clever reverse pass from Pedri following a short corner before firing past Andriy Lunin.

Hansi Flick‘s side pushed for a winner, with Lunin producing a superb save to deny Martin while Lamine Yamal also threatened the Madrid defence.

But Mourinho’s men remained dangerous on the counter-attack and delivered the ultimate sucker punch through Mbappe’s late strike.

The French superstar’s double also took him to 100 goals for Real Madrid, capping a memorable night for the former Paris Saint-Germain forward.

And the result could prove crucial in the LaLiga title race, with Madrid cutting Barcelona’s advantage over them from six points to just three.

Barcelona remain top with 27 points from ten matches, while Real sit third on 24 points, behind Atletico Madrid.

The defeat also ended Barcelona’s perfect start to the league campaign after nine consecutive victories.

For Mourinho, it was a statement victory on his return to El Clasico, with his side keeping themselves firmly in the title hunt.

But the ugly scenes involving Camavinga threatened to overshadow a famous night for the visitors.
