Liverpool makes the trip to Istanbul for the latest chapter in its Champions League adventure, as a clash with Fenerbahce awaits the side at the halfway stage of the league phase.
Andoni Iraola has already won all three of his previous meetings in the competition this season, with a win in Turkiye on Wednesday likely to put the Reds just one step closer to reaching a top-eight finish.
The Spaniard will have to do so without Ryan Gravenberch in his squad, after it was revealed that the midfielder has been suffering from a heel injury, which he felt in the lead-up to the match against Arsenal at the weekend.
"It's a day-to-day thing because it's the heel, it's about the heel," Iraola told the press before the Fenerbahce game. "I think he's been in some discomfort, the other day against Arsenal he was warming up and he was not fully confident. He hasn't improved since then and every day we have to ask him and every day we see how he is, if he can be available for the weekend [against Crystal Palace], lovely, he will be a very good help for us. But I cannot tell you right now."
There is an injury boost for Liverpool, with Dominik Szoboszlai and Victor Munoz traveling with the rest of the group, after the pair made their returns from injury at the weekend.
However, the Reds will be without Jeremie Frimpong, who is recovering from a hamstring injury that will see him miss out until after the international break, putting him alongside other long-term concerns.
Giovanni Leoni is expected to feature after the two-week break, as he ramps up his recovery from a knee problem, while Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike are aiming to feature again before the turn of the new year.
Liverpool won't be able to call upon Federico Chiesa or Wataru Endo, with the pair not registered for this stage of the Champions League, meaning Iraola will have to be pragmatic with some of the options at his disposal.
In the opposite dugout, the Spaniard will be taking on a familiar face, as former Liverpool star Dirk Kuyt will be taking charge of Fenerbahce as the club's interim manager during a difficult spell that has contained all sorts of change in the background.
The Dutch coach will be without some key names of his own, with Jayden Oosterwolde and Kojo Oppong seemingly unavailable through injury, while familiar names featuring former Manchester City defender Nathan Ake and ex-Real Madrid star Marco Asensio will also be unavailable.
Club captain Mert Hakan Yandas will be unavailable for the home side as well, as he was left out of the squad's registration, following an initial ban for his involvement in a Turkish betting scandal.
It means both teams will have to deal with some key absences if they are to get a positive result, with Fenerbahce needing a victory most of all, after a start that has seen the hosts pick up just two points so far.
It remains to be seen just how competitive the two sides could be without some of their key players, with the fixture set to bring a close to the first half of the league phase, setting up an interesting final four matches for both teams.
