Kaizer Chiefs continued their impressive run in the DStv Diski Challenge after recording a convincing 5-1 victory over Durban City on Saturday, extending their winning streak to five consecutive matches.

The Amakhosi reserve team delivered an outstanding attacking performance, finding the back of the net five times to secure all three points. The result further demonstrated the team's growing confidence and consistency as they continue their campaign in the development league.

Durban City managed to score a consolation goal, but they struggled to match Chiefs' attacking strength throughout the encounter. The emphatic result will give the young Amakhosi players and their coaching staff further motivation as they prepare for their upcoming fixtures.

The DStv Diski Challenge remains an important platform for developing young South African footballers. It allows emerging talents to gain valuable match experience, improve their technical skills and develop their tactical understanding of the game.

Impressive performances in the competition can also help young players attract attention from senior team coaches as they work towards breaking into professional football.

For Kaizer Chiefs, the immediate priority will be to maintain their excellent form and continue collecting points. Extending their winning streak could prove crucial as they pursue a strong finish in the competition.

Meanwhile, their Soweto rivals, Orlando Pirates, also enjoyed a positive result on Saturday morning after returning to winning ways following a difficult spell.

The victory gives the Buccaneers' reserve side an opportunity to rebuild confidence and regain consistency as the season progresses.

With both teams recording encouraging results, attention will now turn to their next fixtures as the battle for positions in the DStv Diski Challenge continues.
