Pirates Fans Rally Behind Mohau Nkota After Losing Three Family Members in 2026

Orlando Pirates supporters have called for love, prayers and emotional support for young attacker Mohau Nkota following a difficult year in which he has reportedly lost three members of his family.

The 2026 season has been particularly painful for the talented footballer, who has had to deal with several personal challenges while also trying to maintain his professional football career.

According to a tribute shared by a Pirates supporter, Nkota lost his grandmother in February. Just a few months later, he suffered an injury in May that affected his progress and reportedly ruled him out of South Africa's World Cup squad.

As he continued working towards recovering from the injury and returning to the football pitch, another tragedy struck his family. In July, the young attacker reportedly lost his father, adding to the emotional difficulties he had already experienced during the year.

Unfortunately, the challenges did not end there. Earlier in October, Nkota suffered another heartbreaking loss following the death of his brother, Teboho Nkota.

Losing three close family members within the same year is an extremely difficult experience, particularly for a young footballer who is still building his career and working towards achieving his ambitions.

Despite everything he has reportedly gone through, Pirates supporters have continued to admire his determination to return to the pitch and represent the club.

His situation has touched many Buccaneers fans, who believe the youngster deserves encouragement and support during this difficult period.

Supporters have also taken to social media to share messages of sympathy, asking fellow fans to remember Nkota and his family in their prayers.

For footballers, life away from the pitch can sometimes bring challenges that supporters do not fully see. While fans focus on performances, goals and results, players also deal with personal struggles that can affect them emotionally.

Nkota's experience is a reminder that footballers are human beings who need compassion and understanding, especially when facing painful moments in their personal lives.

The Orlando Pirates faithful will undoubtedly hope that the young attacker finds strength, comfort and peace as he continues to deal with his losses.

As the Buccaneers prepare for important matches, supporters are making one thing clear: Nkota is not alone, and the club's fans are standing behind him.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences go to Mohau Nkota and his entire family during this difficult time.
