Gomora United forward Tiklas Thutlwa could be on the move, with his agent, Lebohang Mashishi, confirming that clubs in South Africa and abroad have expressed interest in signing the in-form striker.
The 27-year-old has attracted attention with his impressive performances in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, where his goalscoring form has made him one of the players to watch this season.
According to Mashishi, discussions have already taken place with interested teams, including clubs based in the Middle East. However, no transfer has been confirmed, and Thutlwa remains a Gomora United player for now.
“There’s clubs that were talking locally and outside, particularly Middle East,” Mashishi said.
Thutlwa has enjoyed a strong start to the campaign, building on the form he showed during the previous season. He scored eight goals in 10 appearances during the second half of the 2025/26 campaign after joining Gomora United in January.
His recent performances have further strengthened his reputation as a forward capable of making a difference in the final third. He scored twice in a 2-1 victory over Upington City before registering another brace in a 3-2 defeat against Cape Town City.
His goalscoring ability has made him an important figure for Gomora United as the club continues its campaign in South Africa’s second tier. His performances have also revived interest in his prospects of returning to the top division.
Thutlwa’s progress is particularly notable given the difficult period he endured after suffering a serious leg injury during his loan spell at Venda FC. The injury kept him out of action for an extended period, disrupting his development and momentum.
Since returning to competitive football, however, he has worked his way back into form and demonstrated his ability to contribute consistently in front of goal.
With interest emerging from both domestic and international clubs, the coming months could prove important for the forward’s career. A potential move would offer him an opportunity to take the next step, although any transfer will depend on how discussions progress.
