Mandla Ncikazi has sparked conversation following his cryptic remarks after Golden Arrows’ elimination from the knockout competition, where he appeared to dismiss questions surrounding his departure from Orlando Pirates.
Standing in the rain after the match, the former Pirates coach delivered a memorable response when asked about the speculation surrounding his exit, saying: “Every house has got a toilet.”
Ncikazi refused to confirm or deny reports of a possible fallout with Abdeslam Ouaddou, who took over after he parted ways with the Soweto giants last month.
Explaining his decision to remain silent, Ncikazi stressed that he had no intention of publicly discussing internal matters or speaking negatively about his former employers.
“As a man, you don't have a responsibility of telling every family that there are challenges in your family. You don't talk ill about your former employer because you offend them,” he said.
Speculation had previously suggested that tensions between Ncikazi and Ouaddou may have contributed to his departure from Orlando Pirates. However, the coach remained tight-lipped, making it clear that he would not entertain questions about what happened behind the scenes.
“Even if there was a problem, you are not going to know, because I'm a man. I've got a responsibility to protect the environment that I work for,” he added.
His remarks have further fuelled curiosity about the circumstances surrounding his departure, although Ncikazi appears determined to keep any potential disagreements away from the public eye.
