South African coach Rulani Mokwena has guided Pyramids FC into the group stages of the CAF Champions League following a convincing 4-0 victory over El Merriekh Bentiu in the second leg of their second preliminary-round encounter.

Pyramids FC delivered a dominant performance to secure their place in the next phase of Africa's premier club competition, demonstrating their determination to compete among the continent's elite teams.

The Egyptian side went into the decisive encounter with the objective of progressing to the group stages and produced an impressive display to achieve that goal. Their four-goal victory underlined their attacking strength and gave their supporters plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the campaign ahead.

Mokwena, who previously coached Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates in South Africa, continues to build his reputation as a coach on the African continent. His experience in South African football, particularly in continental competitions, is expected to be valuable as Pyramids FC prepare for the more demanding challenges ahead.

Qualification for the group stages represents an important step in the club's campaign, bringing them closer to their ultimate ambition of competing for continental honours.

However, the competition is expected to become increasingly challenging, with Pyramids FC set to face stronger opposition as the tournament progresses. Consistency, tactical discipline and effective squad management will be crucial if Mokwena's side are to maintain their momentum.

For now, the emphatic 4-0 victory provides a positive foundation for the next stage of the campaign, with Pyramids FC successfully securing their place among the teams competing in the CAF Champions League group stages.

The focus will now shift to the group-stage draw and the upcoming fixtures as Mokwena and his players prepare for the next chapter of their continental journey.
