Mamelodi Sundowns have been handed a potential setback ahead of their upcoming CAF Champions League encounter against Wiliete SC, with midfielder Teboho Mokoena raising concerns after missing Wednesday morning's training session at Chloorkop.

The Bafana Bafana international was reportedly present at the club's training facilities but did not participate in the session alongside his teammates. His absence has sparked questions about his availability for the important continental fixture, although Sundowns have not provided an official explanation for his failure to train.

Mokoena remains an influential figure in the Sundowns midfield, contributing through his defensive work, passing ability and experience in high-pressure matches. His potential absence could be a concern for the technical team as the Brazilians prepare for another demanding test in their pursuit of success on the African stage.

However, it remains too early to determine whether the midfielder is carrying an injury or whether his absence was related to another issue. The club's assessment of his condition will be crucial in establishing whether he can be considered for selection against the Angolan side.

Sundowns are also facing uncertainty over the availability of Murembula, whose fitness for the encounter has yet to be clarified. The technical team will need to evaluate his condition before making a final decision on whether he can feature in the match.

The possible absence of both players could force the coaching staff to consider alternative options as they prepare their squad for the Champions League assignment. Sundowns will be eager to maintain their competitive standards and avoid unnecessary complications as they pursue their continental ambitions.

With the fixture approaching, supporters will be hoping for positive updates on Mokoena and Murembula. Their availability could influence the team's preparations and selection decisions.

For now, neither player's participation has been confirmed, and Sundowns supporters will have to wait for further information from the club before knowing whether the duo will be available against Wiliete SC.
