Simba SC's Rushine De Reuck Sends Shockwaves to Orlando Pirates Ahead of CAF Battle

Rushine De Reuck Takes Centre Stage As Simba SC Unveil New Kits Ahead Of CAF Champions League Campaign

South African defender Rushine De Reuck has found himself in the spotlight after being handed a prominent role in Tanzanian giants Simba SC's latest kit release ahead of the 2026/27 CAF Champions League campaign.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns defender was among the key faces featured in the club's promotional campaign, taking on poster-boy duties as Simba introduced their latest playing jerseys to supporters.

De Reuck's involvement highlights the growing influence of South African footballers at the Dar es Salaam-based club, which has assembled a strong contingent of talent from South Africa as it prepares for another demanding continental campaign.

The 30-year-old centre-back has established himself as an important figure at Simba since making the move from Mamelodi Sundowns. His performances have earned him recognition among the club's supporters, with his defensive qualities and experience proving valuable to the team's ambitions.

Simba's latest kit collection maintains the club's traditional identity while introducing modern designs. The home jersey retains the famous red colours associated with the club, while the away strip features a predominantly white design with distinctive red detailing. A blue third kit also forms part of the collection.

The new jerseys, produced by Diadora, are particularly significant as Simba celebrate their 90th anniversary during the 2026/27 season.

The kit unveiling forms part of the club's broader preparations for a campaign in which they are targeting success both domestically and on the African continent.

Simba have already demonstrated their ambitions by securing qualification for the CAF Champions League group stages following an impressive 9-1 aggregate victory over Equatorial Guinea's 15 de Agosto in the second preliminary round.

Interestingly, the Tanzanian giants have also been drawn alongside South African champions Orlando Pirates in Group C, setting up an exciting continental showdown.

The group also includes Moroccan outfit RS Berkane and Cameroonian side Colombe Sportive.

For De Reuck, the upcoming campaign presents another opportunity to strengthen his reputation beyond South African football while representing one of Tanzania's biggest clubs.

His appearance in the latest kit campaign further underlines his growing profile at Simba, where expectations remain high ahead of the Champions League group stages.

With the new jerseys officially unveiled and continental football approaching, Simba supporters will be hoping their team can turn the excitement surrounding the new season into memorable performances on the pitch.
