“Pure Sabotage” Furious Fans Slam The PSL Over Cruel Carling Knockout Quarter-Final Venue Decision

Carling Knockout Quarterfinals: PSL Verifies Schedule; Chiefs, Pirates, and Sundowns Find Out Their Cup Fate

As the Carling Knockout Cup advances to the quarterfinals, South African football fans are getting ready for yet another thrilling round of knockout action. Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, and five more Premiership teams are vying for a spot in the final four.

The quarterfinal matches have been announced by the Premier Soccer League (PSL), and the remaining matches are set for the weekend of 6-8 November 2026. All three of the remaining weekend games do not yet have definite kickoff times or locations, according to the public fixture announcements.

Four intriguing matches have resulted from the quarterfinal draw, giving fans of the top teams in the nation plenty to anticipate.

Orlando Pirates, the reigning champions, have been paired with Sekhukhune United in what looks to be a tough test for the Buccaneers.

After winning the league the previous season, the Soweto giants will be determined to maintain their title defence. On the other hand, Sekhukhune will be keen to defeat the holders and leave their mark on the competition.

Amakhosi will have home advantage when Kaizer Chiefs plays Siwelele FC. Thanks to an outstanding hat-trick from Wandile Duba, the Chiefs defeated TS Galaxy 3-0 to secure their spot in the round of eight.

After defeating Polokwane City in a penalty shootout, Siwelele also demonstrated a strong will to go to this point.

In the meantime, there will be another intriguing match between Stellenbosch FC and AmaZulu FC. Stellenbosch defeated Durban City 2-0 to guarantee their spot in the quarterfinals, while AmaZulu, under by coach Arthur Zwane, will try to maintain their winning streak.

Golden Arrows and Mamelodi Sundowns have been drawn to play each other again this season.

Due to Sundowns' impending CAF Super Cup committment, their quarterfinal has been moved up to Tuesday, November 3, in contrast to the other three ties.

Golden Arrows have already shown that they can cause problems for the Tshwane giants, but the Brazilians will be aiming to advance.

Which four clubs make it to the semi-finals, which are set for November 21 and 22, will be decided by the quarterfinals.

The remaining competitors have a significant chance to get closer to winning the trophy because the final is scheduled for December 12, 2026.

The league is about to enter a pivotal phase, with Pirates defending their title, Chiefs aiming for another significant cup run, and Sundowns hungry to add more trophies.
