In anticipation of the second leg of their CAF Champions League match against African Stars, Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has voiced faith in his squad. The Buccaneers will be aiming to defend their slim 1-0 lead and advance to the round of 16.

With a favorable position thanks to their first-leg victory, the Soweto giants will be playing the second leg at home. But Ouaddou knows that they still have work to do and that his squad needs to play another disciplined game to ensure that their opponents don't have a chance to win the game.

Following their heartbreaking elimination from last season's continental campaign, Pirates will be eager to make a strong statement this season. Unfortunately for them, FC Saint-Eloi Lupopo ended their hopes by coming back from a 3-0 deficit and ultimately eliminating the South African side in a penalty shootout. That incident demonstrated how drastically things can shift in continental football.

Ouaddou maintains his players are not dwelling on past failures but are instead focused on the challenge ahead, despite the disappointment.

Reporters were informed by Ouaddou that the team is prepared and knows its role. For the team to succeed, everyone must be in sync and row in the same direction. We are eager to play that game and have no fears.

As Pirates get ready for a match that could determine their ambitions in Africa's premier club competition, the coach's remarks emphasize the significance of unity and concentration.

With the crowd cheering them on from the sidelines, the Buccaneers will be looking to maintain possession, set up goals, and slow down African Stars. Realizing that giving up an early goal could put more pressure on the other team, they must maintain defensive organization.

In the meantime, African Stars will play with all their heart to maintain their qualification hopes alive with a strong performance. The unpredictable nature of two-legged continental ties makes it especially important for pirates not to underestimate their opponents.

The immediate goal for Ouaddou and his team is to complete the task at home and move on to the next stage. As the competition heats up, a convincing performance would do double duty: guaranty advancement and boost morale on the squad.
