Former Kaizer Chiefs and Chippa United winger William Twala has returned to South Africa and is reportedly exploring opportunities to continue his professional football career after becoming available on the transfer market.
The 36-year-old attacker is currently without a club and is willing to consider offers from interested teams. His availability could attract attention from South African sides looking to strengthen their squads with an experienced player who understands the demands of professional football.
Twala remains a recognisable figure among local football followers, particularly because of his previous involvement with two Premier Soccer League clubs. His spell at Kaizer Chiefs gave him the opportunity to represent one of the country's biggest football institutions, where players are expected to perform under intense pressure from supporters and the media.
He also featured for Chippa United, gaining further experience in the competitive South African football environment. His time at both clubs contributed to his professional development and exposed him to different tactical approaches and team expectations.
Beyond his domestic career, Twala has also had opportunities to play outside South Africa, including periods in Asia. Those experiences allowed him to encounter different football cultures, coaching philosophies and styles of play, adding to his knowledge of the game.
Although he is now 36, his experience could still make him an attractive option for clubs seeking additional squad depth. While younger footballers may offer greater physical intensity, experienced players can contribute through their understanding of matches, positioning, decision-making and ability to guide teammates.
