Bafana Bafana attacking midfielder Relebohile Mofokeng has spoken about his memorable headed goal after helping Royal Union Saint-Gilloise secure an impressive comeback victory on Sunday.

The South African youngster found the back of the net with a header, adding another important moment to his growing experience with the Belgian side. His contribution came during a match in which Union Saint-Gilloise showed determination and character to fight back and claim victory.

Speaking after the game, Mofokeng highlighted the importance of having the right mentality and maintaining a strong desire to succeed. According to the talented midfielder, a player's mindset can play a significant role in achieving goals on the pitch.

“It’s just on your mind, if the desire is there and the mentality is there, you’ll always get the goal,” he said.

His comments reflected his belief that determination, confidence and the willingness to keep pushing can make a difference, particularly when a team faces a difficult situation during a match.

Mofokeng's headed finish was also notable because attacking midfielders are often recognised for creating opportunities and scoring with their feet. His ability to find the net in the air demonstrated another dimension to his attacking qualities and gave Union Saint-Gilloise an additional boost during their comeback.

The goal represents another valuable experience for the South African international as he continues his development in European football. Competing in Belgium provides him with an opportunity to face different opponents, adjust to new tactical approaches and improve his overall game.

His performances will also attract attention from Bafana Bafana supporters, who will be hoping that he continues to develop and brings his confidence and attacking ability to the national team.

For Union Saint-Gilloise, Sunday's comeback victory demonstrated the importance of persistence and determination. Meanwhile, Mofokeng's contribution provided another encouraging moment in his journey as he continues to establish himself in European football.
