MELISSA REDDY has asserted that she was once subjected to a BAN after labeling the Glazer family as “parasites”.
The former Sky Sports journalist states that she was prohibited from referencing the Manchester United owners for a duration of ten days.
Reddy, 40, dedicated three years to Sky before departing from the broadcaster in 2025.
Throughout her tenure at the network, she served as a lead reporter covering Manchester United.
Recently, she shared a video on social media stating that she was barred from mentioning the Glazers for a period of ten days.
This followed her describing the United owners as “parasites” while criticizing their management of the club.

Reddy shared this video with her 246k followers on Instagram.
She remarked: “As a lead reporter for Manchester United, I was once banned from any mention of the Glazers for ten days, after calling them parasites for what they’ve done to a great institution.
“However, it did not deter me from highlighting that every single issue arises from exploiting and dismantling the club, tightening a financial noose around it.
“I will persist in calling them out.

“Julian Nagelsmann, Antonio Conte, Eddie Howe, Unai Emery—no matter which manager is linked to Manchester United.
“They will be set up to fail by the Glazers and by Ineos, as the individuals who own and operate Manchester United have wrecked Manchester United.”
Reddy did not specify who imposed the ban on her mentions of the Glazers in the video.
SunSport has reached out to Reddy, United, and Sky Sports for comments.
Prior to her tenure at Sky in 2022, Reddy worked for notable outlets such as The Independent, ESPN, and Goal.
Currently, United is undergoing difficulties after a disappointing start to the 2026/27 season under Michael Carrick.
The former Red Devils midfielder has only secured two victories so far, putting him under pressure regarding potential dismissal.
United finds itself in 13th place in the Premier League and at the bottom of the Champions League table.
The club has also faced elimination from the League Cup after a loss to Brighton at Old Trafford in September.
Carrick and United will have an opportunity to alleviate some of the pressure as they prepare to return to Premier League action on Sunday.
The Red Devils are set to host Bournemouth, who recently celebrated a historic 3-0 victory over AC Milan in the Europa League.
