FABIAN HURZELER has become the center of attention in the Premier League due to his remarkable influence at Brighton.

The German head coach has propelled the Seagulls to impressive heights, currently standing third in the league rankings.

Hurzeler, 33, was relatively unknown in the UK prior to joining the South Coast club.

Brighton acquired him from St Pauli in Germany, where he led the team into the Bundesliga.

Before turning to coaching, Hurzeler was a player who retired at the young age of 22.

The midfielder showcased his potential early on as he was part of Bayern Munich’s academy from 2004 to 2012.

He had the opportunity to represent Germany’s youth teams from U15 to U19 levels.

While playing at the U16 level, he participated in a 2009 match against France.

During that game, Hurzeler faced a notable opponent in former Manchester United star Paul Pogba.

A photo showing them contesting for the ball has circulated widely on social media.

His achievements at Brighton have attracted attention, and several clubs are now interested in his services.

The latest speculation links him with Manchester United, where Michael Carrick is under significant pressure.

The Red Devils find themselves in 16th place in the Premier League, with little relief in the Champions League.

Nonetheless, Hurzeler wishes to remain at Brighton for the foreseeable future as the club vies for a spot in the Champions League.

Pogba, now 33, departed United two years after the match against Hurzeler to join Juventus.

He would later return to Old Trafford in 2016 for an £89 million transfer, making 190 appearances for the club.

The midfielder helped the Red Devils secure the Europa League and League Cup before leaving in 2022.
