The 22-year-old German youth international has caught the attention of multiple top European sides during his second season at Jan Breydel Stadium.
Manchester City is drawing up a proposal worth approximately €50 million to bring Tresoldi to the Etihad Stadium ahead of the summer 2027 transfer window, according to reports from Spanish outlet Fichajes cited by Voetbalkrant.com. The English champions view the forward as a potential long-term option for their attack. While a departure during the January window has been ruled out by club management, officials acknowledge that summer interest could change the situation for the Jupiler Pro League star.
Manchester City is far from the only English club monitoring the former Hannover 96 striker. TEAMtalk reported that Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Everton, and Leeds United are also keeping tabs on Tresoldi’s development in Belgium. Club Brugge signed the attacker in the summer of 2025 for a reported fee of approximately seven million euro, tying him to a contract that runs until mid-2029.
With intense club speculation, Tresoldi must decide which national team to represent, as he is eligible for both Germany and Italy. Germany national team coach Jürgen Klopp confirmed that the forward is firmly on the German federation’s radar. Speaking to DAZN during the interval of Bayern Munich’s match against Arsenal, Klopp noted that discussions have already taken place between himself and the player, while acknowledging that Tresoldi has also been in contact with Italian officials, VoetbalPrimeur.be reported.
Natürlich kijken we naar Brugge,” Klopp told DAZN, adding that the player wants to continue his development with the Germany U21 setup while keeping his long-term options open. The Germany coach made it clear that the door remains open for Tresoldi to earn a senior call-up whenever he feels ready to finalize his international allegiance.
