A SOUTH AMERICAN derby erupted into chaos as fans stormed the pitch.
The superclasico featuring Cerro Porteno and Olimpia occurred at the Estadio General Pablo Rojas in Asuncion, Paraguay, on Sunday.
The intense derby saw Olimpia score first in the 13th minute with a goal from Eduardo Delmas.

A total of 32 arrests were made as other fans hastily exited the stadium.

The incident resulted in 72 injuries and the detention of 63 individuals.
The Ministry of the Interior issued bans against 22 Cerro Porteno fans from attending future games, while Olimpia was fined nearly £15,000.
