Everton have suffered back-to-back defeats this season, and there is pressure on David Moyes from the fanbase. But Seamus Coleman has pointed out how unfairly he has been treated.
There is a growing sentiment within the stands at the Hill Dickinson that David Moyes has taken Everton as far as he can right now, a good level, but not quite able to take that next step.
However, Seamus Coleman has been making it clear to fans that Moyes has been dealt a bad hand by The Friedkin Group above him, emphasising that he backs the manager. However, the club also needs to.

How does David Moyes' response to back-to-back defeats to Chelsea and Arsenal make you feel? 🤔 The Everton boss doesn't seem overly upset despite the losses…
Speaking on The Overlap Fan Debate alongside Jamie Carragher this week, Everton great Seamus Coleman has explained frustrations over the Everton squad and how short Moyes has been left.
“The manager came in, and he’s stabilised a group that was in a bad place, and then in the summer, who sells a striker before you get one in.
“I know we can all have frustrations, and the performances probably weren’t where they should be, but he can’t even take off the striker who might be tired and replace him with another one, because you don’t have one, and we’re talking about a Premier League-level club.
“I just don’t understand how that can happen. The gaffer will work hard, he will get the job done, and I just think from being stung so many times, I’m not saying it’s right, but it’s where my mindset is, get a few more bodies in in January, and then Europe would be great, and whatever happens from there is another thing.
“But the players, we didn’t bring in loads of quality attacking players like Ndiaye left and wasn’t really replaced, Beto left and wasn’t really replaced.”
The Friedkins are selling Everton, and therefore, there is a strong chance that they weren’t keen to invest in quality and depth for Moyes, aware that they would soon be heading out the door.
It has been claimed that the Friedkins will invest in January if they remain owners, and this could see Moyes given the additions needed to conclude this push towards Europe. The club owes Moyes this, taking it from relegation threatened to now on the verge of Europe with a little more investment.
