Bahlabane Ba Ntwa forward Samkele Sihlali opened the scoring in the seventh minute, netting his first goal for the fledgling club since joining from Sekhukhune United.
Siwelele responded in the 26th minute through Raymond Makhuvele. The debutant towered above his marker and headed the ball past Gallants’ gloveman Kagisho Mlambo.
The hosts restored their advantage before the break with a well-worked move. Seketso Moremi picked out Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, who scored his first goal of the campaign to make it 2-1.
Gallants came flying out of the blocks in the second stanza. Sihlali completed his brace in the 49th minute after being set up by Msindisi Ndlovu, taking the score out to 3-1.
However, Vincent Pule gave Siwelele renewed hope six minutes later when he unleashed a powerful free-kick to reduce the deficit to 3-2.
The visitors pushed for a late equaliser, with Zakhele Lepasa introduced in the 84th minute, but Gallants held on to claim their first league win of the season and move up to 15th place.
Meanwhile, Siwelele remain 14th after seeing their three-match unbeaten run come to an end.
