Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane’s move to Iranian club Esteghlal has sparked a R1.25m commission dispute, with football agent Hamed Ghadiri accusing the sports management company run by Mosimane’s wife, Moira Tlhagale, of failing to pay him for helping facilitate the deal.
The Sunday Times has seen particulars of the claim filed in the Johannesburg high court in which Ghadiri alleges that MT Sports Marketing and Management authorised him to conduct initial discussions with Esteghlal in October 2024 about Mosimane and his technical team. He claims his work helped secure an offer from the Iranian club and that Mosimane subsequently signed an employment contract.
At the centre of the claim is an alleged service agreement that set out how a $100,000 (R1.6m) fee expected from the club would be divided between Ghadiri and MT Sports.
