Arsenal Players Support 4-Year-Old Cancer Patient’s £339k Fundraiser for Life-Saving Treatment

ARSENAL football stars have lent their support to a four-year-old cancer patient in his quest to raise £339,000 for crucial treatment.

Gunners supporter Zach Fleming was only two years old when he was diagnosed with rare stage 4 neuroblastoma.

To support his fundraising effort, the Premier League champions invited Zach to the 2-0 victory against Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Zach and his brother Alex, who is 11, had the opportunity to meet players Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Eberechi Eze, along with manager Mikel Arteta and club legend Ian Wright.

Zach received a signed shirt which will be auctioned as part of his fundraising campaign.

His mother Edwina, 40, from Hackney, North London, shared with The Sun: “The support my family has received regarding Zach’s diagnosis has been incredible.

“Words can’t capture the experience that Zach and his brother had on Saturday.

“They did everything possible to ensure we had a truly magical day that my kids will forever cherish. I want to express immense gratitude to the Arsenal fans for their unwavering support and kind messages.”

Stage 4 neuroblastoma affects approximately 100 children each year in the UK.

This condition occurs when cancer cells from the tumor spread to other parts of the body.

Zach endured 18 months of extensive treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital but has unfortunately relapsed, causing him to step away from school.

His parents are optimistic that the CAR T-cell therapy available in Rome, Italy, will help him overcome cancer and allow him to return to being a joyful, active child.

Currently, Zach’s family has raised around £100,000 through a JustGiving page.

This campaign is supported by Solving Kids’ Cancer UK.

The family expressed: “Before his illness, Zach was an energetic young boy who relished running and playing with his brother. Through everything, he has remained true to himself.”
