YellowBet And Emmanuel Eboué Join Forces To Connect With Football Fans Across Africa
YellowBet

Former Arsenal and Côte d’Ivoire star to lead personality-driven campaigns across YellowBet’s African markets

ABIDJAN, Côte d’Ivoire, 19 October 2026 – YellowBet, the African sports betting and gaming brand, has announced a partnership with Emmanuel Eboué, a highly regarded African footballer. As YellowBet’s pan-African brand ambassador, Eboué will help build good relationships between YellowBet and football fans in all of its markets, from Cameroon and Guinea to Mozambique and Kenya, where fans of YellowBet Kenya will also get to see him in action.

Eboué has had a career in both African and European top-flight football. Having initially played for ASEC Mimosas in Abidjan, he earned 79 caps for Côte d’Ivoire and participated in two World Cups and five Africa Cup of Nations tournaments. For Arsenal he made 132 Premier League appearances and reached the UEFA Champions League Final. Eboué then played for Galatasaray, making 77 appearances in the league and winning the Turkish Süper Lig.

The partnership will leverage Eboué’s charisma – the quality which made him a fan favourite both on and off the field of play. He will appear in YellowBet’s advertising campaigns, digital and social media content, promotional activities and market-specific events. To mark the announcement, he recreated one of his memorable goal celebrations in a video featuring YellowBet executive Sandise Sibanda – a taste of the innovative content that will be created with this partnership.

Eboué said that joining the brand felt like a natural step, adding that he has “always looked good in yellow and blue.” He explained that football has given him the chance to meet people around the world, and that he is especially drawn to how passionate Africans are about the game. YellowBet’s ambition and upbeat approach, he said, “really resonates” with him.

Eboué also spoke about what football means to him beyond results. For him, the game has always been about bringing people together, in cities such as Abidjan, Douala, Conakry and Nairobi. He said that if he and YellowBet can make supporters smile while celebrating the sport, “then that’s special.”

Sibanda said few players are remembered as fondly as Eboué. While his achievements speak for themselves, Sibanda said it is the former midfielder’s “personality, energy and connection with supporters” that make him such a strong fit for the brand. He added that YellowBet wants to be entertaining, positive and football-focused, and that Eboué embodies those qualities.

The signing reflects YellowBet’s wider approach to building a recognisable brand in regulated African markets, where operators increasingly compete on entertainment and local relevance as well as on offers. By placing a popular, charismatic former international at the centre of its content, YellowBet aims to give supporters something they will want to watch and share.

Sibanda said that the company is looking forward to seeing what they can achieve together, with further activities planned in YellowBet’s markets.
