Football fans won't want to turn away from the broadcast during halftime of the Detroit Lions' Thanksgiving game against the Chicago Bears.
The Lions announced Sunday that Wu-Tang Clan will perform during halftime of the NFC North showdown:
According to the team's announcement, Eminem and Shady Records president Paul Rosenberg have a partnership with the Lions and select the halftime entertainment for the Thanksgiving Day game.
"Our Thanksgiving Day Classic is one of the greatest traditions in sports, and Wu-Tang Clan is one of the greatest performers in music," Lions president and CEO Rich Haddad said. "We are thrilled to have Wu-Tang headlining our Thanksgiving halftime show and grateful to Marshall and Paul for their partnership."
Last year was the first of the partnership, and Eminem actually joined Jack White on stage during halftime of the game between the Lions and Green Bay Packers.
This year's show will come amid Wu-Tang Clan's global farewell tour, Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber. The group was also recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class.
It also figures to be an important game in the NFC North, as the Bears are 5-2 and just ahead of the 4-2 Lions. All four teams in the division are above .500, which will only make the head-to-head contests all the more critical in the stretch run.
