NBA legend Charles Barkley is known for a great many things. As a basketball player, Barkley was known for his dominant rebounding ability, strength, and athleticism, which allowed him to establish himself as one of the greatest players in league history. As a broadcaster, however, Barkley’s reputation is quite different.

Over the course of his career as a sports broadcaster, especially as a part of the “Inside the NBA” team, Charles Barkley is considered one of the most hilarious personalities on television. From his constant banter with Shaquille O’Neal to his recurring verbal faux pas on air, Barkley is pure entertainment. And on Thursday night, the NBA legend gave the fans another reason to fall out of their seats.

During a segment of “Inside the NBA,” Ernie Johnson asked Charles Barkley to play another game of “Who He Play For?” The game demanded Barkley to link a player with the team they currently play for, a challenge the 63-year-old has struggled with in the past. This time around, however, he took matters to new heights.

For obvious reasons, things went downhill quickly. After getting the first one wrong, linking Mo Wagner with the Charlotte Hornets, Charles Barkley proceeded to go 0-5. On a positive note, in the bonus round, he did correctly guess the fact that Garrett Temple had switched over to coaching. But considering that he got the team wrong again, the NBA legend technically finished 0-6.

Given that in an earlier segment of “Who He Play For?” last year, Charles Barkley guessed the New Jersey Nets as a player’s team, the bar was low. Despite this, the 63-year-old managed to take things up a notch on Thursday.

Although Barkley tried to justify his poor display, Shaquille O’Neal jumped at the opportunity to troll his colleague by challenging him to redo the game with the same players. Needless to say, the results were even funnier.

For the most part, Barkley did considerably better, correctly guessing the teams for Mo Wagner (Brooklyn Nets) and Mo Bamba (Utah Jazz). Unfortunately, Buddy Hield, Taurean Prince, and Aaron Wiggins would have to wait their turn for another round.

Hilariously, even after three rounds, Charles Barkley failed to correctly name the Chicago Bulls as Buddy Hield’s current team, repeatedly linking him with the Atlanta Hawks, instead.

In Barkley’s defense, Hield was traded to the Hornets last month, following which he was traded to Chicago. Regardless, the Inside crew and fans at home couldn’t control their laughter.

Amid all the chaos, one thing is certain: Charles Barkley’s antics never get old. Unfortunately, this may also be coming to an end, as the NBA legend revealed that this season will be the last for him and Ernie Johnson on “Inside the NBA.” In light of this, it is certainly worth cherishing moments like these.
