Oliver Glasner is fighting tooth and nail to revive Nottingham Forest and get the team into a better position in the Premier League table.
The Austrian was appointed as the new Forest head coach in the summer to replace Vitor Pereira. In the first seven Premier League games, Glasner has managed just one win, which is a cause for concern.
Statistics do show a Forest turnaround is on the horizon. The big issue has been sticking the ball in the net, and lots of Forest players have to take a long look at themselves after the season so far.
Glasner will naturally find himself under a lot of media scrutiny, with the British media often renowned for sticking the boot in on Evangelos Marinakis.
It does feel as though the Reds will need to get out of this mess quickly for Glasner’s sake, but the club won’t be panicking just yet – with 31 games still left to play.
Carragher does think Glasner needs wins quickly, though, conceding that the Forest manager does have one very serious problem to address.
He told Sky Sports: “The only problem Glasner has is who the owner is. Now, the owner is very quick to change managers. You wouldn’t be surprised if, in the international break or maybe around Christmas, they change the manager.
“Not because Glasner has been terrible, but it almost feels like at Nottingham Forest, you have to be a really good manager to keep your job there. He’s not shy in changing it.”
Glasner desperately needs a win against Ipswich this weekend. If three points can be claimed at Portman Road, the Reds would jump to 13th place in the table before everyone else plays and things would start to look up.
However, the longer the Reds stay on this winless run, the more nervous everyone at the club will become and none more so than the owner himself.
