Chelsea and Tottenham supporters face travel chaos in getting to and from Stamford Bridge for this weekend’s London derby.
Chelsea host their bitter rivals at 5.30pm BST on Saturday evening in the Premier League, but both sets of fans, planning to use the London Underground, have been advised to seek alternative routes to the stadium.
This is due to planned engineering works that may affect the journey for many supporters.
As The District Line is closed west of Embankment Station and on the whole of the Edgware Road branch, including the line down to Wimbledon, it means Fulham Broadway Station will be closed all day and there will be no District Line trains running to any nearby stations on that branch of the tube network.
The Circle Line will also be affected and will be closed between Edgware Road and Aldgate (via Victoria).
Furthermore, The Mildmay Line is set to be affected from 7.30pm on Saturday, with no service between Shepherd's Bush and Willesden Junction. There will also be a reduced service between Shepherd's Bush and Clapham Junction.
Supporters of Chelsea and Spurs planning to be in attendance at the Bridge on Saturday have been provided with walking routes to and from South Kensington, Earl’s Court and Hammersmith stations from where alternative Underground lines can be used.
However, fans have been urged to use Earl’s Court and Hammersmith stations where possible as entry to Earl’s Court station may take up to an hour after the match.

This will be the third time this season that travel disruption will impact fans getting to Stamford Bridge for a Chelsea fixture.
Kick-off was delayed by 15 minutes for the Blues’ 6-3 Carabao Cup third-round win over Leeds last month after issues on the District line and other London Underground lines due to a passenger incident.
The game was supposed to begin at 8pm BST but instead kicked-off at 8:15pm.
A few days later, fans of Chelsea and Hull had to find alternative routes to the stadium because of part closures on both the Circle and District lines across the weekend of September 12/13 due to planned works.
That game, however, kicked-off at 3pm BST, as expected and finished 2-2 thanks to Joao Pedro’s second half equaliser.
