Nine-point prize fuels Uganda Martyrs, She Corporate encounter
She Corporate players celebrate one of their goals
  • FUFA Women Super League | MD 4 | Friday October 23
  • Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women FC Vs She Corporate FC – Phillip Omondi Stadium | 4 p.m

Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women Football Club will be out to reclaim their winning touch when they host She Corporate FC at Phillip Omondi Stadium on Friday, with a victory offering a chance to briefly climb to the top of the FUFA Women Super League table.

Uganda Martyrs slipped to fourth place with six points from three matches after their unbeaten start was halted by a 2-1 defeat to Kawempe Muslims Ladies FC at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

With KCCA Women FC having moved to the summit, Uganda Martyrs know that victory would take them to nine points and temporarily put them at the top before the other leading sides play.

The Lubaga-based side had made a promising start to the 2026/27 campaign, beating Lady Doves FC away before thrashing Rines SS WFC 4-1 at Phillip Omondi Stadium on matchday two, with Auki Kigongo leading the charge.

However, their trip to Kitende exposed areas that need improvement as Kawempe handed them their first defeat of the season.

Uganda Martyrs

Despite the setback, Uganda Martyrs showed some fight, with substitute Maureen Kiiza coming off the bench to score against Kawempe. That impact from the bench could prove valuable as they seek a response against She Corporate.

Kigongo remains one of the key players to watch, while Gillian Akadinda is also expected to play an important role as the hosts look to turn their home advantage into three points.

But She Corporate will arrive in Lugogo with confidence of their own after a convincing 3-0 home victory over She Maroons FC on October 18.

Ruth Nyakato, Gillian Akadinha and Jesca Namanda scored in that victory, giving the visitors a timely boost ahead of a difficult away assignment.

Namanda will be central to She Corporate’s hopes of finding the net again as they seek to build on that result and move into the title conversation.

Like their hosts, She Corporate have an opportunity to reach nine points and briefly take control of the standings with victory, making Friday’s encounter a significant early-season test for both sides.

The two teams will therefore have more than bragging rights at stake, with three points offering a temporary place at the summit.

A draw, however, would leave both sides where they are, making victory particularly important for teams seeking to keep pace with the early leaders.

For Uganda Martyrs, the task is to respond to their first defeat, rediscover the attacking form that produced four goals against Rines and make home advantage count.

She Corporate, meanwhile, will look to carry the momentum from their win over She Maroons into Lugogo, with Namanda expected to lead their attacking threat.
