Multiple reports have linked 17-year-old Borussia Dortmund youngster Mathis Albert with Manchester City in recent weeks.

Goal.com even reported that Dortmund rejected a €15 million offer for the United States international during the summer transfer window.

According to Bild, however, the Black and Yellows have yet to receive a formal bid for Albert, although the German tabloid reports they are well aware of City's strong interest in signing the youngster.

Liverpool and Arsenal have also been mentioned as suitors, but both clubs are believed to have a lower chance of landing the teenager than the Citizens.

However, Dortmund are understood to be keen to keep hold of Albert and remain relaxed about the situation. The report adds that the Bundesliga side have already negotiated a long-term contract with the youngster, which is expected to take effect when he turns 18.
