WWE is going ahead with its decision to travel to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel, and a report has revealed its plans ahead of the show.

Although Saudi Arabia is currently in conflict with the Houthis, with several infrastructure sites, including the airport, reportedly being bombed, WWE remains intent on hosting Crown Jewel in the country on November 7. "PWInsider" has confirmed that the plan is to hold the show in the Middle Eastern country despite the US government issuing a Level 3 travel advisory. The report also noted that a Level 4 advisory would prohibit Americans from traveling to the country. Recently, the US State Department had ordered its diplomats and their family members to leave the country due to the conflict.

"Fightful Select" also has an update on Crown Jewel, with its report revealing that WWE plans to tape the "WWE SmackDown" before Crown Jewel on the same day as "WWE Raw" airs from the Barclays Center in New York. According to "Fightful Select," the November 2 episode of "Raw" will air at 6 p.m. ET. WWE will then return to the United States for the following week's "Raw," which will take place on November 9 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.

Many are curious as to why WWE is going to such great lengths to host the PLE in Saudi Arabia, considering the risks its personnel may face. According to Dave Meltzer, WWE's decision to go ahead with the event is likely financially motivated. Meltzer believes TKO will bring in between $70 million and $90 million from the three shows it has scheduled in Saudi Arabia — two UFC events and Crown Jewel — and that the absence of these events could put a dent in the company's quarterly profits.
