Local government elections have forced the league to postpone league matches, the Carling Knockout quarter-finals expected to fill the void.
The games are expected this week, but oddly, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) is yet to confirm the dates, venues and kick-off times for three of the four matches.
CAF Champions League holders Mamelodi Sundowns are the only team with a confirmed fixture. Ka Bo Yellow are set to host Golden Arrows on Tuesday, 3 November.
The lack of official information from the PSL has left supporters uncertain about when three of the four quarter-final matches will take place.
Kaizer Chiefs are expected to host Siwelele FC at FNB Stadium, while Orlando Pirates are to take Sekhukhune United to the Orlando Amstel Arena.
Meanwhile, Stellenbosch FC and AmaZulu FC will battle for a place in the last four, with their fixture also awaiting confirmation.
With the Betway Premiership taking a break this week, the Carling Knockout is expected to attract significant attention from South African football fans.
However, the uncertainty surrounding the fixtures has raised questions about the league’s scheduling, particularly with the competition already at the quarter-final stage.
For now, Sundowns and Golden Arrows are the only teams with a confirmed date, venue and kick-off time. The other six clubs will have to wait for the PSL to announce the remaining details before supporters can finalise their plans to attend the matches.
