Feared submission specialist Rousimar Palhares is returning to competition next month.
Fans could see the competition return of Cain Velasquez in the near future following talks about him signing to Real American Freestyle.
While the wrestling promotion has become an attractive option for current or former MMA fighters, others have gone elsewhere.
Following the likes of Edson Barboza signing to ACBJJ, the promotion is now bringing in perhaps the most notorious grappler of all time.
The MMA landscape is arguably in the best position its ever been in with there being several big options outside of the UFC.
ACBJJ has signed several notable names ahead of their upcoming event in Rio de Janeiro on November 13.
The promotion has announced that this card, ACBJJ 23, will be headlined by an all-Brazilian clash between Rousimar Palhares and Andre Galvao.
Controversial former UFC fighter Palhares hasn’t competed in over two years, but has been teasing a return by posting various potential matchups on social media.
The co-main event sees current UFC fighters Kelvin Gastelum and Rodolfo Vieira face off in an ‘all-stars no-gi’ match.

In 2013, Palhares submitted Mike Pierce in 31 seconds in what ended up being his final UFC fight.
The feared Brazilian grappler was released from the promotion the very next day for holding on to the heel hook after the referee stopped the fight, having previously been suspended for doing the same thing.
Dana White told ESPN’s Jeremy Schaap after the Fight Night event that Palhares was banned from the UFC and would never fight for them again.
He went on to compete in promotions like WSOF and ACA and currently has an MMA record of 19-13-1.
During his time in the UFC, he faced the likes of Dan Henderson and Nate Marquardt.
