Former LSU football WR transfer having career year at Tulane

Former LSU football wide receiver Destyn Hill is enjoying the best season of his collegiate career. The redshirt junior battled injuries over the past two seasons but found his stride at Tulane in 2026.

Hill played in seven games so far for the Green Wave. He boasts career highs with 26 receptions for 339 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 13.0 yards per catch. His best game of the season came against South Alabama, when he caught four passes for 91 yards, including one for 61 yards.

A second-team preseason All-AAC selection, Hill has an overall offense grade of 69.4 from PFF. That ranks No. 12 of 39 qualified AAC wide receivers. His average of 7.4 yards after catch per catch ranks fifth among conference receivers. Hill accounts for 22.1% of Tulane's targets and 25.2% of its receiving yards.

Hill signed with Florida State as a 2021 four-star recruit out of Edna Karr High School. He missed 2024 with a torn ACL, then broke his hand on the first play of his first game with LSU in 2025. Over seven games with the Tigers, he caught two passes for 22 yards.
