It’s the first proper prize on offer in the 2026/27 football season. Who will win the Carabao Cup at Wembley next year?
There are normally six rounds of action to determine the two clubs that progress to the final, but there’s a bonus seventh this term. Due to a bumper nine Premier League teams being involved in European competitions, a preliminary round pitched a quartet of League Two sides into battle for two places in the first round.
Manchester City are the reigning champions. Nico O’Reilly’s quick-fire double earned the Citizens a 2-0 victory over eventual Premier League champions Arsenal.
