Andrey Arshavin has questioned whether a move to Manchester United would be the right step for Galatasaray midfielder Alexey Batrakov, saying the 21-year-old may be making the switch too soon.
Reports recently claimed that Batrakov had attracted interest from several English Premier League clubs, including Manchester United.
Arshavin, a former Zenit forward, is doubtful that the Manchester club would be the best destination for Batrakov while Manchester United are experiencing a difficult period.
“Why does Batrakov need Manchester United? It is too early for him,” Arshavin said.
Batrakov has made 11 appearances for Galatasaray in all competitions since joining the Istanbul club, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
