Ivory Coast will be without left-back Ghislain Konan for the November international break after he suffered an injury while playing for Wolverhampton in the English Championship.
Konan was hurt on Friday, 23 October, and is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks. The 30-year-old has established himself as the Elephants’ first-choice left-back and his absence removes an important member of the squad from the team’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifying commitments.
The Ivory Coast coaching staff must now identify a replacement for Konan and find a solution on the left side of the defence.
The injury is a significant setback for the African champions as they prepare for their next fixtures.
