Sami Zayn has recalled the WWE Royal Rumble 2023 segment in which he turned on Roman Reigns and The Bloodline, noting that the crowd's reaction was unlike anything he had ever heard.

"I haven't heard a reaction quite like that because the very funny thing about that reaction is, like, if you listen to it back, because I actually saw it pretty recently, it's the pitch that [it] gets [to]. It's like a different noise that I've never really heard. And, of course, there've been, like, some of the most amazing goosebump-inducing pops in our industry. You know, like when Austin's music hits and that match with Mick Foley finally, that's one of my favorites," said Zayn. "From a pitch and a tone perspective, when I hit Roman with that chair, it's this pitch that I've never really heard before. It's like they're all saying 'yeah' at the same time. It's like the pop doesn't start with an 'H.' It starts with a 'Y.'"

Zayn said he knew the moment was special from the crowd's reaction, despite being completely focused on executing the segment. However, he feels the crowd's reaction seemed louder when he rewatched it than it had sounded in the arena. The WWE Champion also reflected on the segment as a whole, calling it one of the best he has ever been involved in.

"It's one of the best things I've ever been a part of, for sure. That's not just the Bloodline stuff," he added. "What I loved about it is it was genuinely such a collaborative effort. There were so many people that contributed, like, one idea, one idea, one idea, one idea. And each one of those one ideas all made this perfect pie."

He further added that the particular segment perfectly captured The Bloodline story.
